How we work with business

Partnering with TechNZ is a way of sharing the costs and the risk associated with R&D.  TechNZ investments allow businesses to undertaken more ambitious R&D projects and to complete them faster, shortening the time it takes to get new products and services to market. 

We provide a wide range of assistance beyond funding.  This includes connecting businesses to experts, research partners and companies with complementary skills, commercialisation and advice on protecting intellectual property.

Depending on your size and aspirations, we’ll tailor our funding and support to meet your needs.

That’s why we have regional business partners – a network of trusted regional advisors located throughout the country who work with businesses to develop and sell new technology-based products.

Regional business partners provide fast, readily accessible advice to smaller regional companies. They typically work with businesses undertaking early stage or small research and development projects, or first-time research and development companies.

And our large established exporters work with TechNZ investment managers who are located in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
