Capability funding

Capability funding is targeted at companies at all stages, from early stage technology companies to give them the tools they need to succeed in research and development, to mature companies to help them exploit emerging areas of science and technology. TechNZ will invest $10 million in 2010/11.

Capability funding is flexible. Examples include:

• involving young scientists, technicians and engineers in research and development projects through TechNZ undergraduate and postgraduate internships
• engaging experts in research and development, and commercialisation projects through TechNZ expert funding
• hosting Master's and PhD students through TechNZ fellowships.
