Terminating Contract reviews

Terminating contract reviews assess the contracts in a portfolio that are due to be completed at the end of the next financial year.

The aims of the terminating contracts reviews are to:

  • to provide an assessment of the performance of the relevant contracts
  • to provide recommendations on future investment in the portfolio.

By assessing the outcomes of investment in the portfolio that is about to be opened for new proposals, the Foundation? can more effectively target its investments.

How they are done

The reviews are carried out in a multi-contract format by a panel of experts selected by the Foundation. Research organisations may provide nominations for panel members.

Similar to the process of domain reviews, the research organisations are required to submit an evidence portfolio which is then assessed by the panel. The terms of reference questions is also similar to that of domain reviews.

Upcoming terminating contract reviews

  • Sustainable Cities and Settlements (SCS?) portfolio
  • Resilient, Functioning and Restored Ecosystems (ECO?) portfolio.
