TechNZ is the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology’s business investment programme and is designed to support companies and people undertaking research and development projects that result in new products, processes or services.
To date, TechNZ investments of $450 million have helped out around 4,500 New Zealand businesses. After 10 years of operation it was time to revamp TechNZ. As part of the redevelopment we surveyed New Zealand businesses, who told us they wanted a flexible simple support system with less jargon and less paperwork. Consequently, we’ve simplified TechNZ from 12 support schemes into one single programme and we’ll be rolling out further improvements over the next 12 months.
We have established TechNZ partners - a network of trusted regional advisors located throughout the country who help companies successfully develop and commercialise their new product.
TechNZ is looking to fund innovative projects and takes a flexible approach to research and development funding. We want to talk to you about your company and your new opportunity and tailor funding to help you succeed.
