Contracting and Monitoring

Contracting

All research organisations receiving investment from the Foundation? have a contract with us.

Business managers negotiate contract details with their clients, using information supplied in the application documents.

When details are finalised during the negotiation period, a contract is prepared for parties to sign. Following sign-off, contracts become active and payments commence. See the contracts we've funded page for more information.

Monitoring

We use quarterly reports to monitor the performance of our research contracts. The reports contain agreed milestones, critical performance indicators (CPIs) and outcome indicators specific to the scheme the contract has been invested under. This gives an opportunity for researchers to:

  • comment on research highlights
  • note any issues and provide solutions
  • work with business managers in order to solve issues.
Researchers must also provide annual reports. A small section from these reports for public good science is made available to the public via our website so the public can see what research we have invested in. View current and past investments.
