Investment Overview

The following diagram gives an overview of the investment areas available for different groups who may be seeking funding and the approximate amount of money that is allocated to each area every year.

We receive money from the Government grouped by for high-level areas of research, called output expenses?, each of which support specific government goals.

In most areas, these output expenses are then broken into smaller budgets through portfolios or schemes with more specific aims, usually called target outcomes (in a few cases, they are called objectives).
