Collectives? help entities to evaluate and unlock the potential of their collective resources and assets through a research and development project. The project should ultimately lead to a new commercial opportunity.
Eligible entities are usually Māori iwi, hapu or other tribal groups. However other groups with collectively owned, inalienable assets may also apply.
This funding supports research and development performed by a research organisation. These include crown research institutes (CRI), universities and private research organisations.
All applicants must meet two key criteria which relate to the type of collective and the uniqueness of the research and development opportunity.
