The Envirolink
scheme provides funds for applied environmental research to be carried out by research organisations on behalf of regional councils
The Foundation is guided by the demands of the Envirolink Ministerial Notice.
The scheme aims at lifting the return on investment in environmental research by facilitating its uptake by regional councils. It supports improvements in the environmental management of regional councils, by funding the development of management tools to meet local needs and translating environmental science knowledge into practical advice.
The scheme also supports stronger links between regional councils and the environmental research, science, and technology sector in particular, and between local government and the science sector more generally.
