Envirolink

The Envirolink? scheme provides funds for applied environmental research to be carried out by research organisations on behalf of regional councils.

What this scheme aims to do

Investments in this area are intended to support regional councils’ access to existing environmental research that has been funded by the Foundation?.

Regional councils have a broad range of environmental issues of concern and the aim of this scheme is to enable them to access environmental research and to address those concerns through a series of advice grants and the environmental tools project.

This is achieved by supporting research that adapts existing management tools to local needs or translates environmental science knowledge into practical advice.

Who can apply for this funding?

Regional Councils doing research for the wider benefit of New Zealand.

The following Regional Councils and Unitary Authorities are eligible for Envirolink funding:

  • Northland Regional Council
