The Foundation provides opportunities for emerging researchers primarily through the following areas:

• Te Tipu Pūtaiao Fellowships (TTP) support students to develop their science and Māori knowledge research capability.
• TechNZ internships which enable students and experienced researchers to complete research and development projects in companies.

Closure of the Postdoctoral Fellowships Scheme

The Foundation’s Postdoctoral Fellowships Scheme was closed to further applications in May 2010.

The closure followed the Prime Minister’s announcement of a new fellowship scheme, the Rutherford Discovery Fellowships scheme, to be administered by the Royal Society of New Zealand.

Information for current holders of Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowships will continue to be funded until each current Fellowship comes to an end, including those awarded in June 2010 from the final round.

Please contact the research office at your university or research organisation for assistance throughout the duration of your Postdoctoral Fellowship.
