About TechNZ partners

TechNZ partners are a network of trusted regional advisors located throughout the country who work with businesses to develop and sell new technology-based products.

TechNZ partners provide fast, readily accessible advice to smaller regional companies. They typically work with businesses undertaking early stage or small research and development projects, or first-time research and development companies, and are involved in approving, contracting and monitoring TechNZ investments up to $100,000. TechNZ partners collaborate with the Foundation on proposals between $30,000 and $100,000. The resulting contract is monitored by TechNZ partners and their comments are considered in the assessment of any future funding.

TechNZ partners typically focus on providing capability funding to help companies develop their ability to successfully undertake research and development.

They also provide a wide range of assistance beyond the application and investment process by connecting businesses to experts, research partners and companies with complementary skills and providing advice on commercialisation and protecting intellectual property.
