This part of the website allows you to see whether we are currently accepting funding applications in each of our investment areas
. It also tells you what you need to do to apply.
Use our QuickSearch funding tool to jump to funding information in your interest area.
For a snapshot view of the status of our investment areas for different groups, see our overview pages:
Note: there is no funding overview for business or industry users as these schemes are on-demand
- that is people can apply at any time. The funding overview shows information for schemes and portfolios with fixed deadlines.
To make it easier for you to see at a glance where each funding area is up to, we use three icons:
icons:
The Apply soon icon means that we will soon be accepting applications. We use this icon when we have released draft investment signals for comment or when we will soon be accepting research concepts or proposals. |
The Apply now icon means we have released our final investment signals and are currently accepting concepts (in a two-stage process) or proposals (in a one-stage process). Click on this icon in a funding page to go to the flowchart of the steps for applying. |
The Applications have closed icon means we are no longer accepting applications. Researchers who wish to apply for funding in this area will need to wait until the next investment round. |
Please note that sometimes we are seeking to invest only in a part of a portfolio or scheme in an investment round.
The main funding page for an investment area sets out which part of the portfolio or scheme we are currently seeking to invest in.
Associated with the main funding page is a page that shows you the timeline for all the steps in the process, and a flowchart which sets out all the steps you need to take to apply.
