About the Awards

The Technology Commendation Awards were launched in 2000 to recognise the contribution made by individuals and companies towards growing their business and improving the New Zealand economy through the design or application of new technology.

As well as recognising outstanding achievement by individuals and their companies, the Technology Commendation Awards aim to encourage others to follow in the winner's footsteps to find market niches offshore and commercialise innovative technologies.

Winners are entitled to use a special logo of excellence associated with the awards in their marketing and publicity campaigns and benefit from the media attention surrounding the awards.
